Energy Stored In Fat Cells Could Be Tapped For Use Later

Health.

Development of obesity - the body consists of 30 to 40 billion adipose cells( fat cells) that provide storage space for extra energy. In prehistoric times large fat stores developed when food was available in spring and summer, and this proved biologically advantageous when winters were long and harsh and food was scarce. Adipose cells may be viewed as collapsible, thin

Showers May Be Of Various Kinds

Health.

Bathing with shower - bathing is an integral part of human life and it is an activity which is entangled with the very mode of human existence. Bathrooms are separate zones available in every house or apartment which is dedicated to this ritual of bathing and at present all modern bathrooms are provided with the facility of taking a bath with the aid of showers. It is the means by which it is possible for every individual to keep oneself clean and maintain proper hygiene.

Showers are the commonest modes used for bathing in the contemporary world and showers are devices through which the water is ejected in the form of a spray to reach the different parts of the body. - it is interesting to note that there are various historical evidences that prove the usage of showers in ancient times. Showers may contain warm or cold water and taking a bath in a shower is usually accompanied by the usage of soaps, shampoos or shower gels which are used along with water to keep the external part of the body clean and free of infections and ailments. Prominent examples include the murals and vases belonging to the Greek civilizations. One of the reasons that have contributed to this may be because modern day apartments always have space crunch and under such conditions the shower is a better and efficient arrangement compared to a bathtub which may occupy larger area. It is also necessary to point out that in the contemporary world, the act of bathing in a bathtub has been greatly replaced by the practice of showering as a form of bathing.

Showers are not only used for bathing and rinsing the body but also for leisure and wellness. - showering involves the pouring of water in different parts of the body. Moreover, for the elderly people and also for those who suffer from physical disabilities, showering for bath is an easier option. Some showers are attached to the bathtub while free standing showers are very common. Showers may be of various kinds. Usually, each bathroom has a separate zone dedicated to showers and it is separated from the rest of the bathroom by means of a shower curtain.

The shower head contains various nozzles through which the water ours out in the form of a spray in the different parts of the body.

So What Does" Control" Have To Do With Anxiety

Health.

Anxiety: beating it is easier than you think - if you are suffering with anxiety, beating it should be your first priority. But it really doesn' t have to be that way.

Having suffered with anxiety problems that lasted off and on from more than 20 years, I know very well how devastating anxiety and panic attacks can be, and the havoc they wreak upon your life. - each year, thousands of people recover from anxiety. There are simple steps to beat an anxiety problem, and they involve getting good information, learning how anxiety works, and how you - - yes, YOU - - contribute to your own anxiety problem. Some people will tell you that beating anxiety is next to impossible to do, they could not, but honestly be more wrong. That last paragraph may have surprised you. Please understand, this does not mean that they are to blame for the situation. The truth is, many people do not realize that they are actually contributing to( or even causing) the anxiety problems they are dealing with.

But it does mean that they are responsible. - it is something that the individual is actively involved in creating because of habits they have fallen into. Anxiety is not something that happens" to" a person. Many people are unaware that they even have these habits, but the accumulated results of them can produce a life of anxiety, stress and even frequent panic attacks. So what does" control" have to do with anxiety? Most of the habits that are associated with anxiety are related to" control. " As a personal development coach, and someone who suffered for many years with anxiety and panic attacks, I can tell you without reservation that" control issues" are behind at least 90% of all anxiety problems.

For most anxiety sufferers, their symptoms begin to appear as soon as they come into contact with a situation that is outside their comfort zone. - think about driving on the freeway: many people experience anxiety symptoms when faced with rush - hour freeway driving, and it is no coincidence that driving in rush - hour traffic brings the individual into a situation where they have very little control. These situations force the individual into a situation where they have very little or no control. With the vast majority of anxiety sufferers, the less control they have over a situation, the more anxiety they feel. That' s right - - they began reaching for even MORE control. And what happens when they began to feel increased anxiety, stress and even panic in these situations?

And this is the vicious circle of anxiety in a nutshell. - often, this spiral of anxiety also produces serious mental distress, and can even provoke full - on panic attacks, or in severe situations, nervous breakdowns. A situation makes the sufferer feel" out of control, " so they attempt to reach for more and more control over the situation, producing any number of uncomfortable or even painful physical symptoms in their body. But the good news is, there is an alternative to allowing these control issues to continue to spiral into greater and greater levels of anxiety or panic. And while this may sound scary, in fact it is quite simple, and can be started on such a small scale that you will barely noticed you are doing it. The antidote for these control problems( and also anxiety) is to learn to release control in situations.

Using exercises or programs that help you expand your comfort zone slowly but surely is the safest and most effective way to stop anxiety problems once and for all. - beating it is a matter of very gradually expanding your comfort zone and learning to" let go. " It can even help somewhat to just keep in mind that control issues are at the bottom of all anxiety.

Every one of the aromatherapy essential oils, may either be utilised on their own, or as a blend with different types of oil. Blends of aromatherapy essential oils, may produce effects that are believed to be more beneficial than using a specific oil. - despite the fact that distilling is the commonest technique used to obtain essential oils, there are several other methods. In addition, it requires an exceptional amount of skill to be certain that the oils are not ruined, and of no use. The removal of aromatherapy essential oils, may be a lengthy process as well as unprofitable. Almost unbelievably it requires more than 2 hundredweights of rose petals, to extract just 4 to 5 teaspoonsful of aromatherapy essential oil, and it is without doubt a wearisome, monotonous procedure which is best left to specialists. But, that is what makes it so effective. Such a huge quantity of plant materials needed, to create a tiny measure of aromatherapy essential oil, keeps it fairly dear.

What Does High Blood Pressure Mean

Health.

High blood pressure is easier to control in the summer - it would appear that high blood pressure or certainly the incidences of high blood pressure have more of a seasonal influence than had been first thought of. The findings that support this theory have been published in a study in the United States recently and the report concerning US military veteran' s suffering from hypertension or high blood pressure in 15 cities.

Now this association may have something to do with seasonal weight gain and the ability or inability to reverse any weight gain acquired during the winter. - the study covered a five - year period and covered cities from as far apart as anchorage in alaska in the north and san juan in puerto rico in the south. Now researchers haven' t necessarily figured out just what is causing this but it does seem to be beyond being powered purely by changes in temperature and daylight that occurred during the winter or are influenced by the latitude of the city taking part. Overall it was found that about 60% of the patients taking part in this study had a marked change in blood pressure control in the winter. What is it about high blood pressure that makes it a problem and when ignored so lethal? The apparent ignorance and lack of diagnosis of high blood pressure, leading for years in some cases has lead to the condition being dubbed the" Silent Killer" . In 19 out of every 20 cases the sufferer will be totally unaware that they suffer from high blood pressure.

If spotted there are a couple of signs that can be attributed to high blood pressure and if these are observed and with out apparent cause then they should not be left untreated. - though the above can indicate high blood pressure it has to be emphasised that they might just as easily indicate other associate conditions. Some of the following can be found to be included as symptoms: Nosebleeds, Morning Headache, Fainting Spells, Increased frequency of urinating at night. What does high blood pressure mean? In nine cases out of ten then the particular cause of high blood pressure is hard to identify and as such in these cases the high blood pressure is termed" Primary( Essential) High Blood Pressure" . Well, if we are to go back to basics then the body' s major tissues and organs are supplied and fed with blood pumped to them from the heart via a network of hose like vessels called arteries.

For those whose incidences of high blood pressure fall outside of the category described above then if the cause of the high blood pressure can be traced directly to one particular failing organ etc then the cause can usually be dealt with and as such the" Secondary High Blood Pressure" can accordingly be treated quite successfully. - quite often this is discovered totally by accident and may be as a result of an associate test such as an eye test whereby the optician can sometimes detect the condition by merely looking into a patients eye. In less than 10% of the incidences of high blood pressure diagnosed, the diagnosis falls into the category known as" Malignant Hypertension" .

The Source Of My Short Term Memory Problems Is Unknown

Health.

Increase your brain's capacity - well, it looks like you are also having problems with your short - term memory. And, be sure that you and I are not the only ones having issues with our memory. Welcome to my club.

Thankfully, I have had that problem for a while and have learned some tricks along the way that have helped. - if you' ve been poking around on the internet for a while you have had people telling you that your brain is just like a muscle. Logically, I think they can help you, also. You know, back in high school we usually thought that was something of an insult. We both know that what is implied is that we have to exercise our memory in a similar way to exercising our muscle if we want either of them to grow. Not that it was ever said about me since I was not quite an All - Star athlete but saying you had muscle between your ears implied that there was not much brain there. It' s just that sometimes my memory problems were so bad I did wonder if there was only a very dense muscle between my ears.

I do not know if it is more a male tendency then a female tendency but I do keep my house keys and my car keys and my wallet always in my pants pockets. - thankfully, i did not have some of the problems that others admit to such as with car keys and wallet. This makes it almost impossible to misplace either your keys or your wallet. I knew I had any problem with memory though, just keeping instructions, for instance straight became difficult for me. Umm, unless you misplace your pants, and then you, I guess have an even greater problem. My business partner and I could be sharing our agenda for the day and she occasionally would ask me to do several things for her.

The source of my short term memory problems is unknown. - usually if it were more than two or three items or possible complications with alternate solutions then by the time she got to the end i frequently would forget a large part of what she said in the beginning. My guess is that the excessive negative stress in my life had a lot to do with it. One easy and neat trick that I like worked pretty well for me. I knew that I could not remove all of the negative stress in the short term but I knew that I had to do something about my memory problems and so, I did, quite simply. Since I am not a doctor I am not going to go so far out on the limb as to say that it will help anyone and everyone but I hope that it will help you. Okay, I' m old enough that I still have pictures on Kodak paper, pictures that were processed at my local drugstore.

For this trick I would simply take a photograph from our family picture album and use it to help exercise my memory. - well, if you' re a bit younger or more with technology than i am you probably have your pictures in an electronic format. If you can do this in color then so much the better. Rather than use the image off of your monitor I would suggest that you print out a photograph from your collection. It will give you more to memorize if you are dealing with a variety of colors. I would suggest at first that you take several minutes to study the photograph in detail before you then set it aside and write down all of the details that you can recall that show in that photograph. All you are going to do is simply take a photograph that means something to you and study it for a while.

After you become a little bit more proficient at this then quite naturally you will reduce the above time that you study the photograph before you turn it away and write down as many details as you can remember. - the more that you challenge your brain the more efficient your short term memory will become. All this does is increase the challenge for your brain which is exactly what you want to do.

On September 23, Freud Asked His, 1939 Doctor - Friend To Assist Him In Committing Suicide

Health.

From the couch to the deathbed - in many western countries, going to a psychiatrist for therapy and counseling is well - accepted as a means to maintain mental and emotional health. Seen as a professional counselor who possess the right knowledge and skills about handling life problems and personal conflicts, the psychiatrist is often seen as the" last straw" of an emotionally disturbed and desperate patient. For most patients, the psychiatrist is considered a source of calmness, and understanding, reason.

However, not too many people see psychiatrists as normal people who also encounter difficulties and struggles in life. - known as the father of psychoanalysis, the famous psychiatrist sigmund freud was widely acclaimed for his writings and theories of psychology. In truth, at the very core, they are also vulnerable to pain and frustration. Freud became an instant celebrity in different medical and psychological associations for his theory about the unconscious mind and how he believed that sexual desire was a strong determinant or motive for human though and action. Even today, pictures of Freud are used in pop culture are symbols of human intellectual intricacy and discernment. Credited with the such remarkable psychological concepts such as the id, and the superego, ego, Freud became a highly respected yet controversial figure in the European scientific community.

In real life, according to his biographers, Freud also faced stress and anxiety in the same manner that his patients did. - as a young medical practitioner, freud dissected hundreds of eels to look for" eel testicles. " at that time, reproductive processes, the origins, and migratory behavior of eels were still mysteries that challenged the scientific community. After carefully studying his early life, biographers believe that they have unlocked the secret to Freud' s own secret fears and frustration, which would later become anchors to his theories. After failing to locate the reproductive organs of the eels, Freud abandoned his study and chose the another field on which he could pour out his complete devotion as a man of science. In his writings, Freud conveyed his belief that sexual desire was somewhat a" motivational energy for life" and viewed psychosexual development as the explanation for specific human thought and behavior. His biographers often refer to this time in Freud' s life as the starting point for the psychiatrist' s focus on human sexuality. Aside from his work on psychosexual development, Freud was also concerned about overcoming depression through the use of cocaine.

Long before antidepressant prescriptions were formulated and sold in pharmacies as doctor - prescribed drugs, Freud was already convinced about the use of chemicals and other drug formulas to address emotional problems. - it is not widely known that the psychiatrist was a user of cocaine, a substance that he believed to be useful as a stimulant and cure for depression. Surely, if he were alive today, Freud' s use of cocaine would be frowned upon and will be considered illegal. Far from the pop image of the psychiatrist as a stable, rational dispenser of reason and understanding, Freud himself came to a point where he found no more reason to live. In fact, recent journals have focused on the correlation between Freud' s cocaine use and his preoccupation with sexual desire as motivating factor. Perhaps like many of his patients who came to him out of despair, Freud also reached a point where he thought that no more help was available to him - - - whether it was from the field of medicine or psychiatry. After almost a lifetime of helping other people deal with their own problems, Freud chose to escape his own troubles through a morphine overdose.

On September 23, Freud asked his, 1939 doctor - friend to assist him in committing suicide.
